Sadness and despair
Even though you love him
He doesn't seem to care

Now that is so true!!!!
However, I would like to share a bit with you from my addict side. I can tell you he does care, however, he is a SLAVE to his addiction and thus right now his addiction is his FIRST LOVE, HIS MISTRESS, whatever you want to call it. For me it was KING ALCOHOL.
I can tell you that the only way I and many others have been able to break the chains of slavery was acceptance/surrender to the Master. I had to ACCEPT that I was addicted to King Alcohol and drugs and then I had to SURRENDER that King Alcohol and drugs had BEAT ME.
I believe Chris wants recovery, he just hasn't found acceptance/surrender yet. Thus he leaves a path of 'wreckage' wherever he goes. His parents, you and your kids, old bosses, etc
(((((Kim))))) Please know that I have been and am sending prayers for your to get through ALL of this, your treatments and 'him' and have added you to the prayer circles I belong to.
