Eric Clapton Biography

I just finished reading this book, for the 2nd time. I remember when I 1st read it about 2 years ago thinking "I wish I could do that". I had got the book because I was a fan and didn't realise how much it dealt with addiction. He writes a lot about his recovery from alcohol (as well as smack and coke). He now has about 23 years clean... I have about as many DAYS! He is brutally honest about his addictions, relapses, how screwed up his life was and about how great his life became in the years after he became sober. He still practices the 12 steps and continues to help others overcome their addictions.

Anyway, if you need some inspiration and need to kill some time. I recommend it. Especially if you are into his music (Like I am).

Yes, I've also read the book and I am a biography fiend, particularly if it has to do with recovery.

I also saw a Documentary awhile ago on Eric Clapton and he definitely inspired me.

Thanks bbr, I shall look for it in our library this week.

I just went online and put it on hold at my library. I hope it comes in soon, I'd really like to read it.

Sounds like a good one! Thanks!

I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one without a thank you button, so I'm sure the techs are working on it.

It's a good book, especially if you are a rock and roll fan.

It's also available on MP3 as an audiobook; I just got a new player and coincidentally, it was included as a sample track!
