OT Addicted to Christmas Lights

This house is just over the hill from me. Ladies tell your addict husbands and Boyfriends to get off their booties, get up on the roof and get to work! :-) We all deserve a little light in our lives.

Be sure to watch the video all the way through with the sound up. I hope you can see it!

Thanks for sharing. That is awesome, but I don't think I would like to live across the street from that house.

What a trip. Neighbors or occupants, I'd think the local pharmacy might have a run on Dramamine.

Peace & Love,

I know just enough about this stuff to be dangerous.

Creating a program to make thousands of lights blink on and off to music can take hundreds/thousands of of "off season" hours of the most boring work imaginable. Interestingly, the electric bill associated with this kind of presentation is insignificant because most of the lights are not on, at any point in time.

I am hard-pressed to think of a better area for viewing massive displays than the Dryker's Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn or Balboa Island, in the midst of the Newport Beach Boat parade.

Hello-kitty, I got a big kick out of that. Thanks for my smile of the day and I think maybe tonight I'll take a ride around town and look at the pretty lights here.

That's awesome, what they did there. I'll be back to visit the video again.

Hugs

How cool!! I saw one that is set to "Amazing Grace" - it takes 3 people to direct traffic around the house, but the neighbors are cool with it and it really is beautiful!

Hugs and prayers!

Wow!! I too wouldn't want to live next door, but how fun to see it only when I want to. Thanks for sharing that, Kitty...I love the music and orchestration - really uplifting~!

I passed a house tonight that I have passed before...It has all sorts of flashing Christmas lights all over the place. This time, (a bit too late to react and stop) I noticed a sign that said tune to FM 107.7 ...I guess the music is piped there and it's like your cool video. I will have to go back, park and listen tomorrow night.

At the house I posted, the music comes through 102.9 - normally not a radio station.

Even if it is something commercial (which I don't think it is but it could be) it's still really cool. My 4 year old was talking about the display this morning. He told me he wanted to get a school bus and bring everyone in his class to see the house.

How cool! The kids must love that. I think I would electrocute myself if I tried something like that...or worse!

There are many really decorated homes and neighborhoods that ask for donations for a favored charity. Some serious money gets raised this way, every year.
