Gosh...its been a while

It has been forever since I posted!!! My AD Lauren has been clean from meth a year in July and is enrolled in college!!! I still worry daily but she seems fine. She is a different child from the one I had when I first came here 3 years ago. I have since moved in an apartment alone and finally got internet back!!! I have been worried more than normal a couple of times over the last couple of months, Lauren's dad died, they had never had a normal relationship but she handled the whole thing with grace, diginity and class. Then a friend of hers from rehab that lived in our town died from a heroin overdose, he was 20 the same age as her. Again, she dealt with it great, She commented they told us how many of us would die from our addiction in rehab. Sorry ive been gone soooo long but I am back!!! Iahve missed you all!!!

That is so great to hear about your daughter and that you are now in an apartment. I have an AS and he has been out of rehab for two weeks. I wonder if the worrying every goes away?

This is, I'm sure, where Al-anon meetings are very helpful.

Wow, it's good to see you back!!! I'm glad you got your own apt. and that Lauren is doing so well!!! I hope you continue to keep in touch. I'm sure your ES&H will help some of the newcomers.

I am so glad your daughter is doing well. Those losses are sad for anyone, but I'm glad her recovery has brought her tools to deal with them.

And you sound great, with your own apartment and your intenet back.
