At least you attempted to go. I remember going to my first AA meeting it was like getting a life sentence of hard time it was awful, now i look forward to these things now. It is hard-if you will keep going, you will go in and find it is less awkward, you are doing the right thing. Feel things out and let the rest come, don't worry it will happen.

It can be hard to start up in a new town...but it's important to make the transition....things may be a little different...but work with a sponsor to try and get comfortable....we are still all just alchoholics sharing what works for us....just go...go to more than one group, more than one meeting...give yourself a chance to adjust (hug)
