is this even POSSIBLE?????

Ok I got a real good friend I mean she is an AMAZING friend, anytime I have an issue she is ALWAYS there to talk to, quite honestly I don't know what I'd do without her.

Recently she took me to dinner so we could talk because my father died and again she sat there and listened and did so with a smile on her face and without complaint.

Now she knows if there is anything she needs to talk about she can tell me ANYTHING and she has.

Recently she confessed to me that her father was an alcoholic which is fine but the amount she says he drinks a DAY is amazing.

she told me her father drinks 60 beers a DAY, yes you read that right A DAY.

and has been doing this for years.

Now again I DO believe she is telling the truth about him being an alcoholic but the amount just seems to much.

I mean my dad was a RAGING alcoholic but not even CLOSE to that.

I got an uncle that might drink 60 a week (about 10 per day) but again not even close to 60 a day.

so I am asking current alcoholics, recovering alcholics, family of alcoholics is it even POSSIBLE to get that bad that you drink 60 a DAY?????

Mine drank a 30 pack a day, sometimes more, and I can't tell you how much vodka....sadly, it's possible.

I did, too, KING. Then I remember the night RAH drank a thirty pack of beer, in a little under 12 hours.

As an alcoholic in recovery for many years now I don't.

Yep it's possible. Very easily possible.

Love and hugs,

I told my best friend how much my hubby drinks each night and she didnt believe me. Said if he actually drank that much he'd be throwing up, and stumbling more then he does.

Hard to imagine how your body actually can build up a tolerance to so much alcohol

I know that some of the things I could retell to friends and family about my H's behaviour would likely not be believed by most people. Some because it is so insane it seems that it can't be real, some because they know him and he doesn't "seem the type", "he likes a drink sure, but it's not a problem", "he might have a drink problem, but he's never nasty". I have frequently doubted the evidence of my own eyes so I understand people's reticence. I have had to make peace with the fact that if I share my truth, some people will conclude that I am the liar. Sucks, but then, a lot of this situation sucks, and there's nothing I can do about it.
