Yes... that's right. Today is 3 years alcohol free for me .
When I think back to where I was 3 years ago I am still amazed at where my journey has taken me.I am healthy, happy with myself and children, a 500 hour certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance out actually teaching every day doing it & loving it! So much better off now. This forum was a huge part of my early recovery so this post is not one of bragging but one of thanks to SR and everyone here who has helped me in this path I'm on.
WOOT !

Congratulations
3 years, or however you wanna do the math (me and Dee have something in common here... ouch), that's amazing. Keep posting, 'cause those of us back at the beginning appreciate those 3 years... it's something to aspire to, and it seems more realistic when we can see it play by play--instead of just "hey look y'all I got 34 years..."
If that makes any sense.

I remember when I first came here - so sick and sad - yours were among the first posts I read, V. You seemed so self-assured and determined to stay on your path. I wanted to have what you & the others had. It worked, I'm making it. Thanks for inspiring me, and congratulations on your amazing 3 years.
Congratulations GypsyTears. I have 3 months today and am very uplifted by your 3 years. I have a new goal. I told my ex-wife that I wouldn't be impressed until I had at least a year...I've had 13 before. Now I am looking for the big 3. I figure that if my goal is far enough out there that I will be very busy reaching for it. Much too busy to whine, procrastinate or engage in self-pity on the way. Thank you for being a shining example of what I can be if I continue to do every day what I have been doing every day for the past 3 months. Much love. John in Oklahoma
