OT...CAT scan at 1:00 this afternoon.
Just spent an hour at the doctor's office laying in a room, and finally agreed to a shot of phenergan to knock the nausea back, but the pain relief will have to wait till after the CT scan because I have no one to drive me there and back.
For three weeks now, every day, I've gotten the same type of headache in the same spot, and this is completely out of character for my migraines/stress headaches pattern.
I have been fighting a sinus infection, just finished up my second round of steroids and a strong antibiotic. At least they will be able to tell on the CAT scan if this is sinus-related or not.
It is going to be so frigging painful to walk back into that hospital since my boss did what she did to me up there. I hope I don't run into anyone from health information. I also found out this wasn't the first time the boss has given an employee the royal screw over the years, and also all the gals in the department knew this was going to happen, and kept quiet. I realize they need their jobs too, but it hurts still the same.

My mom has been battling some serious pinpoint headaches over the last year. She, too, had little success getting away from them. She finally had a CT and then an MRI to get some answers.
I hope the CT gets to the root of the problem for you, and screw those folks in Health Information. You need to take care of you. You're a patient there and that demands respect. They know the rules in healthcare. They can't seek you out to bother you or comment on your condition to anyone or they face some serious wrath.

My sponsor called a bit ago, and another one of my fellow AAers also works at the hospital in maintence. Seems she hired yet another person and maintenance had to find her a desk.
That's 3 people she's hired now (I knew about only 1), so I'd say it's safe to assume my PRN status on staff means crap to her.
She has to live with herself, and that's far worse than anything I could do.

Secondly, you are right..she has to live with herself AND my mom taught me that "what goes around, comes around" and I've found out, mom was right. I'm sorry she is a jerk and that this job didn't work out like I thought I would. Somewhere, down the road, we will find out why....because there is something better out there for you.

Hoping you all the best. I am very scared of doctors and hospitals. But I have also learned to be grateful to have access to medical facilities and good doctors when so many people don't have that and suffer unnecessarily.
It sucks when other people know stuff but they don't tell you. Anyway they have their reasons, perhaps morally they wanted to but they also needed the money and knew it was going to be their ticket out. Hope you find another job that you like!

Alice, did they ever figure out the cause of your mom's headaches?
I've got 40 miles one way to drive tomorrow for the practicum activity, and I pray I can keep the pain level down while I'm there (it's a half day activity).
