I'm thankful that there are laws prohibiting collection agencies from knocking on my door in their quest to find my debt-ridden son. They can only call on the phone. And while I'm on the subject, I'm thankful for caller ID so I don't have to bother answering those calls. And while I'm at it, I'm thankful that I don't carry frustration or anger or bitterness or anything, toward my son or toward those companies, about those calls coming here. When I see those names on the caller ID, it's the same reaction I have when I know it is a telemarketer hoping to sell me something.
