It happens and I know that well. Pick up the ball and take it to the house!

Keep strong!

60 days is a great start, do you now know what made you drop the ball & how to avoid it?

All of the best in your recovery, you can do this.

Sleep. Just can't seem to do it well. Nightmares. I work graveyard shift which does not help. I hate having messed up.

Hi Irishdude

Welcome to you

This is hard work - many of us fall - it just means we have to look at what went wrong and try to take steps to counteract that with our new attempt - as we both know, going back to drinking is no solution.

Did you see your dr about the sleeplessness? That might also be a good step to take this time.

We also have an insomnia and nightmare forum here - it could prove helpful?

I would say don't beat yourself up over it. That time you had wasn't wasted. Just try not to drink/use today! :praying

Yes, indeed, start anew! Don't give up on yourself. You CAN stay sober. This time try something different to stay sober. And do see a doctor about the insomnia.

Welcome to SR!

Keep the faith... despite everything that may or may not happen, you can win.
You just have to believe.
If you find that hard, get support from a local detox centre or rehab group/organisation.

take care

Today is a brand NEW day with no mistakes in it....yet! The key for us all is to NOT pick up that first drink/drug and maybe, just maybe we've got a chance at something better for ourselves! We, you, can do this! Strength and encouragement sent your way!

We all have today. The past is history, tomorrow is a mystery but TODAY is a gift, that is why they call it the PRESENT. Keep trying. It only takes a desire to stop. And soon the rest will follow.

I've dropped the ball so many times, I don't even remember where the ball was when I dropped it. I just know I was playing around alone in my mind and my thoughts. Sometimes my thoughts were grandios and sometimes my thoughts were depressingly pathetic. My mind is a scary place for me to be hanging out in. I learned I could not do this alone. I now talk with someone. I can't stop those thoughts but I don't have to entertain them. Have a great TODAY.

Take care.
