Day6

Still sober - apparently for almost 47,000 heartbeats, although I'm sure once I stopped it was a few more for a while. I had a moment last night, very brief, but still a moment. I wasn't off guard, because I know they will happen, but it still surprised me. Totally unexpected out of the blue the drunk inside me emerged and suggested having a drink to relax. Well I gave her a few chosen words and called her names I couldn't possibly repeat on here and you know what? It worked - she left - so here's to calling names (with a cup of tea of course). Wonder if this would work on my boss?
I woke up feeling fine - once the reality set in again that I wasn't hungover - I wonder how long that will last? Thanks for listening.
I will post again tomorrow, because today I will not drink.

Congrats on Day 6, Saphie! I'm just a few days ahead, on Day 10, and I can tell you I'm still waking up every day thinking about the fact that I'm not drinking. And it gets me excited to get up and get moving.

One of the best things I ever did was admit to myself that I had a problem with alcohol. I hope I remember that for a long time!

Congrats... To Penny too!!! It does get better. Humbly on day 63 this time. Never perfect, but life does not work that way... Cravings diminish and will eventually go away. Watch out for milestones... They seem to increase. And try working some kind of program that Involves
support/ interaction with others.

Good job on dealing with the demon! Thank you for sharing. Every victory we share with each other strengthens us all.

Congrats on day 6, calling the demon names is great as long as it works, you may want to skip that with the boss unless of course you have a better jpb lined up or just hit the lottery! LOL
