Gypsy Feet

Just a quick check in note, sent from a place of gratitude to you all. I am in my own room, paying my own way (with lots of wheeling and dealing haha). I live with a friend who has been like a brother to me for almost 25 years. I live in a place so beautiful it takes my breath away. I am happy. I have twinges of guilt now and then, but then I remember it's my job to take care of me, and I am the only one I can take care of.

The (ex) husband seems to have moments of light, which makes me happy. He has come out of his cave and put down his bottle long enough to visit family and vacation. I hope nothing but the best for him, and hope he finds his serenity and spiritual awakening sooner rather than later.

He and I have pretty much zero contact, a few texts regarding the dogs now and then.

The people I have been trying so hard to protect and save are on their own now, and they have an opportunity to learn how to take care of themselves, an opportunity I denied them for so long.

If your on the fence about trying out your wings, trust. Trust that your higher power has wonderful things in store for you, and that you are loved. Trust that because you are loved by your higher power, you can have faith and will land on your feet.
