ozboys story
..i've been diagnosed with "Cerebral Atrophy"..
got that news,yesterday...
..symptoms: look and act like i'm drunk or on drugs..
..i had been sober for 4mths...but no change..
..i now have a drink..but it sends me crazy..so i only have a drink to ease
my concerns for the future..only a small amount(don't feel guilty about it).
..i'm here on this SR site,to learn more..to learn how others have managed
..their story...
..i deeply care about, every-one(the whole planet)..
..if at times, i post a bit 'weird'...
..it ain't me..
..just something..i can't explain...

I'm sorry for your diagnosis.
I have cerebral palsy so we both suffer from cerebral atrophy
It's not a tragedy Kim - with treatment, most forms can be managed quite well, and without any behavioural side effects too.
For us alcoholic guys, drinking never helps mate.
Especially not fear.
Alcoholism feeds on fear - I know you're scared, mate, but don't feed the beast.
If you could take a small amount you wouldn't have come here in the first place, Kim.
Drinking is one of the worst things you can do for cerebral atrophy too.
Do what your doctor tells you to do and take what he tells you to take.
We're glad to have you here - lean on us Kim

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your news with all of us. That must be hard for you to absorb all at once. I wish you well, friend and pray that you will heed the advice and meds of your doctor like Dee said. Please keep coming to SR and sharing will probable help you release some of the fears you have instead of turning to alcohol. Be well Kim.

Oz :day6 sorry to read & respond so late. I just got back from England & when I was going through the posts I got kicked out after a couple of pages (didn't see this post).
You always have an upbeat attitude & are willing to help people and have a great sense of humor ;-) You can get through this, I don't know much about what your going through but I do know that your posts have meant a lot to me as well as many others in the last few months.

..it's 'fathers day' in ozville,next sunday.
..my 'daughter' is taking me out to lunch..
..i will enjoy my favourite bbq 'duck' and a glass of sparkling..
..apple cider..i love the stuff..
(gettin hungry just thinkin about it!!!)
BTW: that's non-alcoholic cider..LOL Oz..
