Hello! My name is Leslie, and I'm an alcoholic. I came upon this site by accident the other day and spent hours reading posts and articles. I've learned A LOT and express a huge thank you to all that share.

After drinking heavily for the last six years (except for 9 months - when I was pregnant, THANK GOD) I have been sober for 33 days, which is a miracle for me!!! My husband is an AA, so I figured that I would give it a go because it was either that or die. Lo and behold - my life has changed dramatically. Don't know how it happend, but the urge to drink is gone for now.

Anyway, I'll try and share more of my story later; my son is waking up and I cherish every sober moment with him.

Thank each and every one of you out there that have the courage to share your feelings, experiences, hopes, and fears because it helps me stay sober.
