I always think it, Pancake, but don't often say it. This place is amazing, and it's ruined me for any other forum - on any subject. I doubt there's a more active or helpful message board on the net.
Well thanks are always welcome so thanks to you too. Reading and posting here is an essential and enjoyable part of my recovery so I'll add my thanks to all. Everyone's caring and sharing means a lot to this old boy.

Really tired to get there, wanted to go, but this stupid computer, wouldn't take me 2 U.
Maybe, I'll be able to next time...
Yes, just a humble thanks to all.... Just about joining and sharing.
Stay strong.

I second/third/whatever what everybody before me has said. This has been a stellar introduction to forum-ing. So what I'm reading is it'll never be as good again anywhere else?... I guess I have to stay around then.
I mentioned in a few places today and I don't like repeating myself (sorry y'all, it's me) but without this I would have been back to drinking about 8 or 9 'incidents' ago, so...
I'd just like to say thank you all to the whole board for helping me get a long enough break to start seeing that a different way of life might be worth it.

Well i joined in March 2008, pissed up and not knowing what the hell to do with myself! If you can call it depression, i don't think that describes it enough, then i had it bad! Couldn't even stop for one day drinking! Read my blog posts to see how mad i was!
Then in October last year went to counselling finally, got on antabuse and anti depressants...i had really reached the point where i was seriously considering ending my life. Spent 5 months dry coming on SR everyday to the Newcomer section, some posts were helpful some were offering advice on stuff i had little experience in at that time.
Then 2 months out drinking, then rehab, then 4 weeks drinking then finally AA and getting stuff done!
So yeah SR has been with me all along the way, so a big ******* thanks to you all!

I loved doing the meetings. I was usually tired and ready for bed when I would start them and by the time they were over I was wired because of all the inspiration I got from them. Love those meetings.
Morning friends,
Well, yesterday was my "Grateful for been Sober Day" and it was filled with LOVE, JOY and SHARING! What a Great LIFE it is in Sobriety!
Every day is special in our lifetime and "Gratitude" is a truly indescribable feeling inside ones' self!
