(((sskaye70))) I am so sorry about your brother. I am a recovering addict, and there are many times I could have died. I want you to know that what he did, had nothing to do with how he felt about you, or anyone else. When we are doing dope, we don't think of anything BUT getting high. We know there are risks, but we think we're too smart to OD..it won't happen to us. We just don't think right when we're using.

I'm not justifying his using. I just want you to know that he had no idea that was going to be his last time. The pull of the drugs is so strong, it's hard to go against that pull and seek recovery.

I'm terribly sorry for you, and for him and everyone who loved him.

I know how hard this is for you and your family. My son died from a heroin overdose about 15 months ago. You are not alone here. Some of us have also experienced this awful tragedy. I don't know if this helps or not, but I really believe that God loved my son too much to leave him with his torment and addiction. Please know I share in your grief and sorrow.

hi, i'm so sorry for your loss. i do understand how you feel, i lost my brother, father and a few other relatives to this disease. i'm a ra too, and i agree that his addiction had nothing to do with his love for you. drugs imprisons the mind and is very very hard to break free from. may he rest in peace now, sorry it had to be this way.

i get comfort in believing that i'll see my brother again one day. i'm praying that your hp will comfort you and your family.

I wont even begin to say I understand the pain and heartache you must be feeling Sedra, because I dont. It probably doesnt do much but, try and take comfort in the fact that he didnt suffer at all in his last moments. I have overdosed on heroin a few times and there is no pain felt at all in during the final minutes.

May your brother finally rest in peace.
