So the weekend is upon us
and the weekends used to be
the hardest time of the week
to stay clean & happy.

For all my fellow newcomers,
I thought I'd celebrate the weekend
by posting about some things
to look forward to!!

So, please share about

I can't wait to: catch up
on sex & the city,
chat with girlfriends while
watching said sex & the city,
help my mom make dinner,
chat with my dude,
watch friday night stand up,
and maybe make smores YUM!

You just put a badly needed smile on my face Rachel. I'm wallowing in self-pity today, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve for some fun this weekend.

BBQ and housewarming party tomorrow, I've got AA friends coming over and my fiancee invited co-workers, we're also celebrating my son's b-day so it'll be a multi-purpose bash!

Might take the kids to see GI Joe on Sunday. Looks like a mindlessly fun action flick.

But best of all, I get to spend time with my children and future wife, nothing like being around our loved ones.

Tonight I will hit a meeting with two recovery pals, then take my daughter and niece to see a movie - we might hit G.I. Joe, too. Tomorrow I will sleep in (I can't wait) then cut the grass and hit another meeting. My daughter asked to stay with me this weekend even though it's her Dad's turn, and that makes me feel great - I'm looking forward to spending some one-on-one time with her.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

No plans for Saturday, which is how I like it. Sunday, my oldest daughter and I are going to dinner and a movie. We're going to see Julie and Julia. Not sure yet where we'll eat...maybe P.F. Changs. Yum.

Going to an AA club picnic Saturday and going to help clean another AA club Sunday. Going to do some 4th step writing on both days. Looking forward to all of it.

Well...I guess you only get "thanked" if you do AA. Oh well...I don't do AA but I've been sober for over a year and I'm feeling great. Thanks!

Am going to help a friend and her husband build pheasant pens for the 1000 birds they have coming in the next week or so... hard graft but i enjoy it... gets me out in the fields... fresh air *cept for the cows* and it dont look like its gonna be too bad a day here in Scotland

Also will got to a meeting with my friend tonight.... tomorrow... ahhh... i will see what tomorrow brings!!!!

Well 123, not sure if it is fun but I am helping my son pack up so he can take his big furniture back to college this weekend. He doesn't start until 8-26 or so but it is fun in that is one step closer to having a peaceful quiet house again!
