Being nice to myself!
Now that I'm a working gal, I decided to try a new beautician, the one my daughter goes to because she always does such a wonderful job.
Oh...my...God! This gal is fantastic! I feel like a million bucks after the new cut/style!
I've made another appointment for two weeks down the road. I'm getting back into the groove, and this old gal is going back to platinum blonde after many years of taking care of everyone else, and not doing a whole heck of a lot for me!!!!!!
Once I secure a full-time position after graduation, the next order of business is a savings account for another Harley (my old sportster exited stage-left with the ex-fiance, never to be seen again).
Watch out world, DeVon's on a roll!

I had seriously hoped it was just the batteries, but after replacing all 4, it was for naught.
I'll get the kiddo to snap some pics with her camera soon!

Freedom I also tried to look better at work today, and investing in that kind of stuff, it really changes your mood for the day to have a good haircut, put makeup, be dressed well, wear nice accesories, nails made.. I for one like to own just a few things, but things I LOVE and look GOOD!
After so many years of "engineering fashion" (geeky and boring) I am now realizing I am a woman after all, LOL

I love it! I got my hair done Tuesday and felt absolutely fabulous when I left the salon. I got multiple compliments. I don't normally wear make-up but am thinking of wearing some to work tomorrow. I am also contemplating getting my first ever pedicure soon. I had forgotten how it feels to do things to make myself feel and look better just for myself! For awhile I was just doing things so I would look fabulous if I saw him or his friends. Now I am doing it because it makes me feel happy! We should declare a SR pampering day! I know I have focused way too long on others, it's time we make time daily to love and cherish ourselves!

Its AMAZING how one changes with makeup!!!!!
For my 3 month anniversary I am planning on surprising my bf looking and feeling good, not the usual sad geeky girl: spa in the morning, professional makeup and hairdo! I dont care if I eat tuna sandwiches the rest of the month. Its all an excuse to spend a day getting pretty. Just because I can and its fun! and lifts up my spirits

After reading this, this morning.......I will be calling the SPA and making an appt for next week to be pampered! I'm going for a mani/pedi/massage...then laying my happy behind out by the pool for the rest of the day! It will be a "codie-cation"

A little over a year ago, I started letting my hair grow again from 'short short'. I do this go back and forth, lol
Well ............................................. I found my old hair dresser and I am going back to my long hair perm!!!!!! roflmao told you it was all your fault.
Wednesday 8/5 she's going to do it again!!!! lol She even remembers how many grey rollers it takes (85) I have very THICK hair and lots of it, lol

So I'll get myself a cut and color next week. At least a cut, so my friends stop telling me that my native american name should be Raised By Wolves. Maybe some color....something coppery that shines in the sun...and a chair massage...and a frappucino....
