I have an XAH!!
No more typing STBXAH! I got the word today the the divorce is final! Actually it was signed by the judge on the 9th, but my attorney was not notified by the court until today.
I had no idea that such a tiny thing as a signature could make me feel so free!!! I kept saying to myself, and anyone that would listen "It's just a piece of paper".....but oh, it's so much more than that!
I could never have made it to this day without the love, support, and occasional kick in the pants from you all. So here I sit, on "the other side". I hope that I can give back a fraction of what I've been given.

Although there were still struggles ahead, the day my divorce was final was a marker, a good day, an important day, a day I felt I had given myself some precious things: freedom, wisdom, power, a desire to do right by myself and my kids...
I am so glad to hear the positive notes in your post!
Three cheers for your strength and to your new life!
peace,

You go out and celebrate your new freedom. It is quite invigorating, isn't it? I wish you the very best. And now, with all your knowledge and support, you are a much stronger person.

What a relief huh?! That is how I felt the day I walked out of the courtroom - RELIEF.
I didn't feel sadness, which surprised me... only relief. The last few years, I'd felt like I had a concrete block dangling from a rope around my neck - and it was a heavy burden.
FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew the sun had been shining for a reason!!! Yes!!!
There's a happy tone to your post, you have plans for the future to reward your long journey, did you ever think way back when that you'd feel this way???? I bet it seemed so out of reach long ago
My best to you!!
