Hello
Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
I'm about 12 hours into my sobriety ,so not feeling so good right now.
Hopefully I can stick with it ,though as each minute passes by I feel my resolve waver.
To everyone here, thank you for providing someplace to go and read about others who have made this journey before me .

Have you talked to your dr because it can be dangerous to detox from alcohol?
Know that it will get better and that you don't have to feel like this again.

Though my DOC wasn't alcohol, I truly appreciate your concern,
Breaking old habits and routines has been the hardest thing so far.
Even though I feel like Sh*t
,gonna go for a walk now ,something I haven't done in years.

Hey 12 hours is 12 hours. Cravings and resolve will come and go come and go,acknowledge them, don't fight them, don't give into them thet will pass. Don't think about yesterday or worry about tomorrow. Just stay here now,this moment, this space. Its always ok, right now. My best to you

In addition to coming to believe you can have a better
life through sobriety, maybe attending some N.A. or A.A.
meetings would also be a good idea to receive some help.

welcome!!! i hope you get to feeling better as it goes on. please make sure to drink lots of liquids (not alcohol) things like juice, water, tea. treat yourself as if you have the flu and eat light but make sure to eat. be good to yourself -- your body deserves it. if you are feeling isolated make sure to keep reading here and post whenever you have something to say and the chat room is an excellent place to get support. you're in great company here (company that has been where you are right now) best wishes

Hang in there! I am in the same boat as you...about 12 hrs into sobriety, not feeling so good physically. Looking forward to seeing what this site has to offer.
