Howzit?
Morning all
Well I've been popping in and out of here and finally plucked up the courage to post. I've been reading loadsa posts thinking ''Oh that's me!.....Oh there I am again!..........wow I'm everywhere!''
A family member introduced me to this site and although sceptical at first i'm glad she did!
I'll be here more often now I reckon.
Not too comfortable talking bout why I'm here but that'll come I reckon.maybe sooner than i think
Anyway great forum!

Welcome, I started the same way. Just reading posts and identifying with different ones. It has amazed me how much HELPFUL info is here! I finally found people that I could relate to and it has helped me stay sober. Whenever I feel tempted to drink I start reading posts and studying the information on the site and it really seems to help.
Stick around- get involved- it's good to hear from you.............

Welcome cazzie! I love your description of how it was to discover so many "yous" among the posts. That's it exactly, and it helped me so much to know I was no longer alone in my self-created hell. You can tell us anything and we won't be shocked or disapproving. Most of us have walked the same road you have walked.
You seem to have a wonderful attitude, not resentful like I was at first! Looking forward to hearing more about you, caz.

Welcome cazzie! I'm glad your family member showed you this site, its a great place. I haven't been too good yet about writing about me either, but I'm hoping that will come. In the meantime just reading all the posts has been extremely helpful. Glad you're here!
welcome!!! there aren't any requirements on posting (except for the ones when you signed up that deal with just being decent)....put your 2 cents in whenever you feel like. it doesn't have to come out all at once, just like real friendships and relationships - you learn about people as you go along. glad you are here

welcome welcome!
i hope you find it as beneficial as so many others have, myself included. for me, when my mind goes into a dead zone where the cravings begin, i try to post and get some encouragement. it's amazing what a resource it is. i wish you the best on your recovery.

Thanks so much.....I'm making a point of coming here every day and so hopefully you'll be hearing a lot more from me. This site is very encouraging and you all seem such a friendly bunch!
By the way....It has only been like a week since I had a drink (erm...well..lots of drinks) so all the tips and advice I'm reading about on here really helping me out!
