Oh, the money..

Been thinking about all the money that I spent on the beer, drinking in the bars, the fines, lawyer's fee, treatment, etc; during my active years drinking.
My last drink cost me about 5 thousand dollars. No kidding! It just makes me sick.
At least I'm sober today.

Yeah, I was in denial about how much money I was spending on drinking, too.

But, looking back, it's so nice to be doing other things with the money now.

For awhile...I kept complaining to my husband that I couldn't understand why we were always behind with money. Now when I look at my account...I spend about 250-350 on wine a month...yikes

I took a really nice vacation this summer. Didn't even come close to what I would have spent on booze over the course of the year.

Yet another benefit of sobriety!

Spent is spent.
What are you planning to do with the
extra money you now have?

That is the best way to look at today...

Good point, Carol, thanks and a good way to look at it positively.
Going to do a lot more traveling. A new roof. The possibilities are endless.
