Accepting the positive...

I know how to deal with stress and crisis. That was so much of my life! Since I got hired on at the hospital Monday, I keep pinching myself to make sure it's true. I've worked some very crappy and extremely physical jobs over the years when I was raising my two daughters by myself, and it's hard not to get emotional at work when I realize how far I've come, and I'm going to have an actual career, not just a job to make ends meet!

The second best news I got this week is when I saw the podiatrist this morning, and he released me from non-weight bearing on crutches! The walking boot stays on a couple more weeks since I'm on that hard hospital floor a lot, but I can handle that. I was delighted to take those stinking crutches back to the drug store today!

Eurekea!!!

You must feel such a sense of relief getting rid of those things!

Try not to pinch yourself too hard now, you'll give yourself a wicked bruise that way.

I read an interview with singer Adam Lambert recently. In the interview he talks about how excited he is with his life after American Idol and how everything he had been dreaming of has come into his life. He said that he hasn't had dreams at night in some time because he has started living his dream.

Maybe that's what you're doing now...living out your dreams instead of dreaming of your life. I'll try to tiptoe away so as not to wake you.

Bestest,

Alice

(((DeVon)))

awww, sweetie, you SOOOOO deserve all this good stuff! Just do me a favor...when you're doing the happy dance, don't break any more bones, okay?

I was telling dad how you got your job, and he was asking me how much farther ahead of me you are in you classes, and I see him looking at our basement stairs...I told him to not get any ideas!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

I have faith good things will happen for you without a nasty spill down the basement steps, Amy!

I am refraining from any dancing. The podiatrist did stress taking it 'easy' even though I'm without crutches now.

Oh, and I finally got a way overdue haircut this afternoon, and it feels so good! We've been over 100 degrees several days now, and I am so glad to have it short again!
