My husband is at the hospital having a sleep study. The last time he had a sleep steady scheduled was the last time I saw him in almost a year. He RENTED A CAR, told me an NA buddy lent to him; I told him there was no way anyone would trust him with their car. He had something to sleep in and his toiletries, I told him to take more because he wasn't going to be allowed to come home. He laughed, insisted he was going to the sleep study and he would see me in the morning. He left, I finally closed the checking acct and the credit card acct. I called him and told him that if he used any of his cards he would be arrested, that I had reported them stolen (LIE). He laughed and said he was in the hospital. I turned off his phone. He called me the next night, "Admitted" that he didn't go to the sleep study, and he understood if I didn't want to see him for a few days. I told him I didn't want to see him ever again. I changed the locks. He broke in. I couldn't get an order of protection, I couldn't keep him out of the house. Finally, he got arrested.

So that was 2 1/2 years ago. He's currently clean. He works full time. Things have changed, but honestly, I am not entirely ok tonight.

So he is back, but is having the sleep study he originally missed two years ago?


I can see why that would trigger you. Might be a good time to find an Alanon meeting, or call a program friend. Prayers going up for serenity and peace..((hugs))

he spent those last 2 years on prison.

He's home. Went to the sleep study and came home.

Most of me knew he would, but I will never trust him 100 percent. I can't allow myself to do that.

We've been back together almost 7 months now. Lots of triggers for me still.
