My 9 month chip today
My 9 month chip today
Hi.
In a little while I am off to my favorite beginners meeting. I get my 9 month chip, today. I keep them in my car's center console. I don't know, I'm not one to usually go for schmaltz... but these coins help me remember the journey so far. When I get days, like yesterday (home alone, unmotivated... just watched movies all day)... It helps me to see those coins... remember the 1 month coin and what was happening in my recovery and life then... While there was a lot going on I still don't understand.... It is sooo much better today. If I have one blah day, you know, I don't have to drink...
9 months today, wow, time flies.

Just as an aside, you've joined a select group. The nine month chip is the least given out chip in AA groups that use that system. So congratulations. I've carried my first chip (white) for years as it reminds me of a place I never want to go back to.
