funny story or not so funny........
a while ago i got together with pals for a fishing trip....do it quite often.
These guys are mostly in the fellowship and we get together and talk and fish.
Ive known these pals for years and would tell them anything...we have a laugh and share about some intimate stuff...
A couple of the guys got on my case about me doing to much...always on the move ...constantly working extra shifts...trying to keep my head above the tax's bills...etc.
One of them said that "i put money before taking the message to the newcomer".....they dont pull any punches and never have.
I just feel i wanna do the best for my family..........but anyway...
Last shift i was walking down the trailer doing my final checks before a 250 Miles trip back home.
All of a sudden the ground under one foot disappeared and my foot bent under my leg.
Ive never felt something so painful.......and i was rolling around on the floor like a beetle.
ankle twice the size and going purple..grey...red..green....!!!
So off work.........and sat on my butt...trying to walk with crutch's
my pals are getting lots of mileage out of it........lol
god has a way of saying..slow down i cant keep up!!!!!!

how funny trucker,,a girl i know in the fellowship is pregnant (due in about 6 weeks think) and since she got pregnant she has been told constantly to slow down,,would she?? we know the answer to that! soooo,few weeks ago she did her ankle in aswell,,she is on crutches,the man upstairs made her slow down also,coincidences?? nah.

oh yes trucker,she is absolutely fine!!! right as rain,,just slowed down,thats all! mother and baby doing good!,,lovely girl too,she was one of the real lucky ones,shes been sober 12 yrs,got into AA at the age of 18,,i like that she didnt suffer for too long!

There once was a speedy hare who bragged about how fast he could run. Tired of hearing him boast, Slow and Steady, the tortoise, challenged him to a race. All the animals in the forest gathered to watch.
Hare ran down the road for a while and then and paused to rest. He looked back at Slow and Steady and cried out, "How do you expect to win this race when you are walking along at your slow, slow pace?"
Hare stretched himself out alongside the road and fell asleep, thinking, "There is plenty of time to relax."
Slow and Steady walked and walked. He never, ever stopped until he came to the finish line.
The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for Tortoise, they woke up Hare.
Hare stretched and yawned and began to run again, but it was too late. Tortoise was over the line.
After that, Hare always reminded himself, "Don't brag about your lightning pace, for Slow and Steady won the race!"
Hey Trucker, seems some lessons we at taught early in life, but take a while to sink in.
Enjoy the break, my friend and don't forget to stop along the way to smell the roses!!
