Thumbs up TOPIC: Keep Your Sobriety First And Make It Last

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and u I am truely grateful.

I read this passage and wanted
to share it with u to give u a
thought to ponder on, think
about.

Endless Tides

The tides of life flow endlessly for
better or worse, both good and bad,
and I cannot allow my sobriety to
become dependent on these ups
and downs of living.

Sobriety must live a life of its own.

Sharon, thank you for sharing

Each morning I dedicate my will and life to a God of my understanding. Then come the Steps I practice each day in recovery.

Everything else just follows, and more often than not it's better than what I thought it'd be.

I get out of my addiction treatment plan what I put in. Addiction always came at a price as so dose my treatment; persistent, patients and effort. 'just for today' I can and will work a treatment plan for blessed wholeness.

With the 12 steps, the NA/AA principles, my higher power, meetings, sponsees, my music, fitness activities, and reading (to name a few, lol) all in my life now...

... I have discovered that I no longer have the time or desire to use.

Sad huh? Yeah, right..!!!
