Welcome to SR ermy, glad to have you here. Tell us some more about your self. There are a lot of great folks here that I am sure will be along soon. So how do you plan on staying sober?

Welcome to the family, ermy. I credit SR with helping me get sober after more than 25 yrs. I've found a place where I can be myself and everyone understands - no harsh lectures or judgment, just help and encouragement. Knowing we're not alone makes all the difference.

Hang in there ermy, think 24 hours... how will you feel 24 hours from now if you allow yourself to go to the shop now? What will the outcome be? How will it HELP to drink? What will your emotions be tomorrow? Maybe take an immediate distraction, take a long hot bath, put yourself out of action somehow for an hour or so, do something that relaxes you and gives you time to digest, cravings DO pass, don't think about tonight, think about RIGHT NOW, you can stop this right now, right now's all you have to worry about. ((((ermy))))

Hi ermy! I'm new too. Reading this board and watching old episodes of Intervention have helped me get through the last ten days. Looking forward to reading about your progress.
