TOPIC: It's Important To LISTEN As Well As TALK

Hi Im Sharon and Im an alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
grateful.

Di you know that it is just as
important to listen when communi-
cating with your HP and not just
talking?

Prayer or communicating with ur
HP (Higher Power) is not trying to
get ur HP to change His/Her will.

It is trying to find out what His/Her
will is, to align ourselves or realign
ourselves with His/Her purpose for
the world and for us.

We go thru many intersections, curves,
forks in the road, stop lights in our
everyday lives that we need that
extra Strength and Guidance from
Above to help us.

With some H O P E we can handle
anything life throws at us by handling
it with prayers.

HANG ON ... PRAY EVERY DAY

Thanks Sharon. Someone here at SR likes to say that praying is like talking with God and meditation is like listening to God.

Often, even when I'm communicating with mere mortals, I get so excited about what I want to say that I forget to listen to the other person! Thanks for this lovely reminder =]
