how'd i do it? i worked the 12 steps with a sponsor, i suited up and showed up, i went to meeting, i sponsor others, i still work with my sponsor, i keep service commitments, i pray every day and night, i practice gratitude, i stick close to my network of other recovering alcoholics, and i have more fun than i know what to do with. i didn't drink, no matter what.

i love you, and i love my family, and i am so incredibly grateful to be sober today.

i did it one day at a time.
