90 days
hello folks, and special hello to my friends on SR.i just got back today from my hometown after a 5 day visit for my uncles funeral.my sister and i spoke at the funeral about uncle mike and it was a lovely service.it was also my 90 days.this has been a wonderful experience considering the circumstances,as you can imagine it was a very sad time.but,i was able to help and support my mum and sister, help with the children, help to organise things, collect poeple from the train station and organise flowers and a family meal out etc.my mum has issues with drink and i was concerned about how this week was going to go.it couldnt have gone any better.back home now and back to reality,,meetings etc.just thought i would share how marvelous it has been this week being and wanting to be sober and being useful.:ghug3
Welcome Back Charmian!
Sorry to hear of your uncles passing. I am glad that you are back. I know you are really working your recovery program and the fact that you can go through stressful times without having to drink is testament to the strength of your program.
Congratulations on your 90 days!!

my mum and sister bought me a beautiful bright pink rhodedendron to say thank you for my help we brought it back in the car.i spent half the day gardening today and dug out a flower bed.so i planted the rhodedendron and lots of other bedding plants.i also sprinkled in 3 packs of seeds for good luck!,i am hoping for a riot of colour in my garden in the summer! marvelous the things we can do when sober,,and more importantly appreciate.ODAAT.
My condolances on your uncle, congrats on 90 days, sobriety really does rock even duriing the rough times things are smoother and we are able to be of maximum service to others sober.
