against my better judgement, and advise from those who care about me- 50 hours after last hearing from AH- I decided to call him- I was tired of not sleeping, wondering. Got his VM and said call me it is important.
He calls back in a few minutes- he said, "what did you want- wht is so important" I told him I was just seeing if he was alive-- he told me I had done nothing wrong- (duh) and that he lost his job andjust had nothing to give me. I told him I loved him but would not be a part of his maddness anymore.
So long story short- even though I can't bring myself to chg the locks- I am taking-- ALL of our money out of our joint accts today and putting them in another bank- at least I can do that- no $ fromme ANYMORE!!!! I guess I have nothing to give him either.

Good for you, Ellima. If you can't yet bring yourself to keep this poison out of your life, at least you can take steps to protect yourself...taking out all of the money and locking it up where he can't use it is a great first step.

Yeah I found out the joint acct was a BAD idea when my AH was still doing heroin...Ever since, I've always kept my own checking acct. Good for you!
