It's probably a good idea to talk to your dr and see what he thinks.

Although I've never heard of anyone having alcohol be a direct result of joint/bone pain, nothing would surprise me. Alcohol has done some horrible things to our bodies. I'd check with your doctor ASAP to make sure there isn't something else going on.

I do know that once we stop abusing our bodies with alcohol and other drugs, we tend to start feeling things that we hadn't felt before because we numbed our bodies for so long. And for alot of us, our addiction began many years ago and we forget that we have gotten older! (as much as we hate to admit it )

Blind, You bet joints hurt after a binge on the bottle! I got 100% better on the aches once I stopped drinking. Take Care.

I agree, first off heavy drinking saps calcium and magnesium from your system, both of which are needed for bone health.

Other joint/bone ailments such as neuropathy, arthritis and gout are severely affected by long term alcohol abuse.

However you should see your Dr.

Also,as I asked on a previous thread:HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SOBER?

This is a very important question. People die from alcohol withdrawal, and you mentioned chest pains in a previous post.

You should see a DR immediately IMO.

Please see a doctor...de toxing from alcohol
is a serious medical issue.
It is dangerous and you need professional advice.

Sounds like dehydration.....joints need fluid to move properly and function.....my knees and elbows and hips all hurt when I was drinking alot. But I am not a doc so you may want to check with one. In the meantime.......hydrate yourself and see if that makes a difference.

I think drinking does cause backaches and bone problems. I never have had a problem with my back until a couple of years ago I developed lower back pain that bothered me daily. In January I went to detox and a couple of weeks later my back pain was gone, along with a lot of other aches and pains.
My father is 77, a heavy drinker most of his life, he has osteoperosis so bad the doctor says it is uncommon for men to get it that severe. I believe alcohol is a factor.
I read your other post and agree with everyone here that you should seek medical attention for your detox, it can be very dangerous.

I read that drinking weakens the bones.
