Six Months is something I can only dream of today, but I will get there with people like you setting the example, congratulations and do something nice for yourself, it certainly is a big deal. x

Unreal, when I joined this board I couldn't remember the last time I'd gone one week without drinking. 6 months? Half a year? REALLY?!
It's been quite the ride. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I couldn't have done it without AA. I was the biggest hater on the block but it saved my butt. I feel like I have to say this, if there's someone reading who thinks 6 months is flatout impossible, give a few AA meetings a chance. Get a big book, get phone numbers. Think about the ridiculous things you've done drunk. Sitting in a church basement is survivable. :-D I'm living proof.
