Fear of Failure
Hi everyone,
I plucked up the courage to enrol at college, and I start in September, I am studying Sociology and Psychology and want to go into social work. I have to get myself out of this house and start living and meeting new people, but I have doubts as to whether I can do it. Fear of Failure. These are my thoughts.
Here goes,
What if I am not clever enough
What if I am the dunce in the class
What if I am no good at small talk
What will people think of me
What if I dont get on with anyone
What if I just can't do it
What if, What if, What if,
Is this normal or do I just need a kick up the jacksie
Anyway just wanted to let you guy's know what I an up to, I have got to get a life and leave the A,s to theirs.

Oh Jewel that's so great!!!! Enrolling in college wow.
Don't worry schools are for average people, not geniuses. You'll be fine. And think of all the new things you'll find out.
Oh I am so happy for you. If I wasn't already doing my classes I'd enrol in another educational programme. I love schools. Yeah I know, I'm a strange person.
Anyway enjoy your school, I think it's a great way to do something for yourself. And to get your mind off the less important things.

My Dad always told me that if's and but's were candy and nuts, Christmas would come everyday!
Not extremely helpful, but true!
You go for it...I am sure that you will do just fine!! Kind of like all the other things that we have learned al-anon applies to this to. We only need worry about ourselves.....do what makes you happy and forget about what everyone else thinks. We don't ever know what we are cable of until we TRY!
I am proud of you for getting out there and DOING IT!!! yeah!

That is wonderful!!! I know I would go crazy if I didn't have my school. It gives me something just for me and I can always get away from my A and go do schoolwork. It's a great excuse and getaway and they can't do anything about it!

Good FOr You!!!!!! Don't worry, my experience with school is that is you put in the effort, the rest comes easy. If only I had applied myself in college I could have learned much more.
