Well that was a surprise.
I asked my new boss if she got a reference from my last boss. And she said yes.
I asked her what she said. And she told me that she gave me an excellent reference. I was dumbfounded.
I thought for sure she would be stuck on the fact I was a no show and ever even tried calling her for like 3 weeks.
She told her I was the go to girl. That she really liked working with me. And that my rooms were always perfect. And that she just didnt know whatever happened to me.
Do you know how wonderful that made me feel?
I am going to call her in the morniong and explain to her what happened sorta. Because I havent talked to her at all since Ileft the last day I worked.
I am going to try and get my job back too. I loved that job and want to go back so bad.
Anyway. That was just really surprising and made me feel really good. Just wanted to shrare.

That's wonderful Trish!
I know I have been in positions where I was sure I had a mess of things, and it turned out to be quite the opposite. I hope this boosts your self-confidence. I think it's a great idea to call your old boss and thank her for her support.

(((Trish)))
I, too, hope this boosts your self confidence. Talking to my boss, after my relapse, did us both some good.
I'm not surprised at the good things she said about you..they were true!
Hugs and prayers!

Glad you shared Chiy, and I am happy for you...
I am not sure how much truth there is in this saying, but I have heard that a large majority of sober folks are great acheivers in the work force...I always excelled in whatever occupation I was at, sometimes the overachiever...But sooner than I expected, my alcoholism started to destroy my work ethics...
I am happy you felt good about you, you should...
