It's funny how their minds work
My AH is in recovery. This isn't the first time, but he's working his steps and doing pretty well. It's a lifelong process.
He's on paxil because without the alcohol his anxiety was out of control. It's helping him. He's bored at work today and just called and asked me to google whether or not paxil causes liver problems because maybe he shouldn't take it if it does.
This is a man who drank a pint of vodka daily for about 25 years, and he's only now getting concerned about his liver? It cracked me up.

Pretty crazy. Did you point out to him how kooky that logic was?
Is he asking you this because he wants to go off Paxil to have an excuse to start drinking again instead? That would've been one of my X's tricks.
Hang tough, ichabod

Yes, I have a hard time understanding the logic as well. The rationales for why my H drinks seems twisted and convoluted to me, but he says that others in the program understand intuitively what he's saying.
*sigh*
Sometimes I feel like it's a club and you have to know the secret handshake to get in.
