Day 9 Reflections
Good morning all,
Day nine today, reflecting on the week and all in all it has been great.
- No anxiety, which is huge I have been suffering daily for awhile.
- Started working out again, another biggie - I have gained weight and gotten out of shape.
- Had some real, natural belly laughs that give me such a better high than alcohol.
- Eating very healthy - that alone makes one feel better.
- sleeping well...
Thank you for reading and supporting me through this. I know it's early and don't know what tomorrow, next week or next month will bring, but for now I am enjoying the peace of mind.

Congrats on day 9!!!
I remember the first time I had a great big belly laugh after I quit drinking; I was at the store reading the birthday cards and one made me start laughing so hard I thought the people around me would think I was nuts... But I really didn't care.
It made me so happy because that is something I always did while I was sober... bursting out in laughter in the card aisle.
I hope this is just the beginning of many more belly laughs to come for you IMT.

You are doing great Itsmytime.
I think that the first few weeks are the hardest and it is great to see so many things are getting better for you.
Phase 2 of my plan involved working out and eating better also.
I am just starting to see the benefits in the mirror of these things so keep it up and after a couple of months you will really notice the difference.

Thanks everyone...had a great morning, took the dog to the leash free dog park for the first time, what a hoot she was so funny. Went grocery shopping, cut my sons hair, cleaned the house a bit..going to rest now before going out.
This is so awesome, I'd be reaching for a drink by now......

That's great ItsMyTime!
I'm on day 6 and can relate to your productivity so much. It's been a long time since I had a Saturday where I was actually productive VS. laying in bed hungover and/or drinking all day and wasting it away...
It feels wonderful, doesn't it

Good morning
Went out to play cards - Texas holdem - last night and drank Perrier and had a great time, didn't win but had fun. Up on a Sunday morning without that dreaded fuzzy head and anxiety, off to the gym then puttering around the house.
Day 10...still struggling with the thought of never drinking again, have a goal of 30 days and hoping it will just flow naturally after that.
Have a great day,
IMT
