Coming Home

Hi everyone,
My husband has been in rehab for the past month. Three years ago he relapsed, oxy's being his DOC, and he's been in detox 3 times since. He has now been in a rehab facilitation, focusing on the 12 steps. I haven't seen him since I dropped him off, and am now getting ready to the end of the week. I have been able to focus on me, and the past month has been a wonderful one. Last night, the emotions got going, and I think I am just so nervous in anticipation. He is coming home to live in a sober house for however long he needs to. I know we both need to take this a day at a time, I also need to figure out how and if this can stay in my life. If I stay in this marriage, how will this work? I know you can't answer that, that just seems to pop out of my mind???

Just needed to get that out

Katylyn, It is a one day at a time program. So that's just what you do. And remeber his recovery is his to work. You focus on you. Not sure if you have been to Ala-non or Nar-anon meetings, they would be very beneficial to you.

SR is a wonderful place, filled with Experience, Strength & Hope. Keep reading & posting, as we will walk with you.

Hugs,
Chris

I hope all goes well. I am really glad you had time to focus on YOURSELF as so many family members of addicts neglect to do. Good luck.

it will work out just as it is supposed to - just be true to yourself and trust your instincts - speak your truth and take it one day at a time...

good luck,
s

You're sick and tired of addiction, hopefully he is too.
