A season of illness...
Hello to all my wonderful friends at SR...The last time you heard from me is when after seventeen months of sobriety I relapsed...This happened in November...
This is what has transpired since that terrible day...The day after Xmas, I was hospitalized with a serious infection...I was bleeding,(ulcers in my colon), and spent five days in the hospital under IV antibiotic treatment. My body was totally run down...Since then it has been a battle just to walk...One of the side effects from the antibiotic is joint injury...I continue to have fluid on both knees with inflamation. Believe me , this is very painful...I have to go and have this fluid drained from my knees often...My doctor has told me that I could have this condition for quite some time, hopefully not permanent..
Needless to say I don't get out often to the library to keep in touch with all of you...
The 11th of this month I will be sober four months...It has not been easy...
To all the newcomers I say welcome, and never give up your right to live sober...To all my friends here, I have missed you, and think of you often...

So glad you're back! So sorry to hear about everything you've been through but hopefully this will make you appreciate your Sobriety all the much more! I take it you don't have a computer at home, just check in with us whenever you can and take care of yourself.
God Bless & I'll Keep you in my Prayers,
Judy

I have never met you here before but I want to congratulate you on your 4 months sober time and mostly to thank you for the inspiration.
I hope that things improve with your health.
Be good to yourself.

Missymae..
I just this hun. Congrats on your sobertime.
I also know what relapse can do to us..and I am so sorry about your health.
It takes time to heal. Take the care of yourself. Prayers for a speedy
recovery.
I had to share from an Internet Cafe for months..that is hard, too.
Just share when you can!
Warm hugs, Missy..

Wonderful to hear from you again, but so sorry about the rough time you have had. Hope the pain eases and goes soon and you are back to full health again.
Congrats on 4 months, may it go on and get better every day for you.
God bless
