Day 1.... No, I don't think so!
Okay..... most of you know I burnt the crap outta my hand 2 nights ago. I fell over all the snow gear by my wood burning stove and broke my fall with my right hand ON the stove.
I took pain meds last night. I hate pills. Never have been a "pill popper" yet got loopie and a lil out of it. I was on here and probably didn't make a heck of alot of sense to some..... for that I'm sorry!!!
My friends here sent me msgs.... "Nicki, are you drinking?"......ETC.....
Did I blow it with pain meds?
Do I start all over again?
Yeah, probably took that "extra" one cuz I'm an abuser of anything to kill the pain.
I did not drink! I took 2 Aleeve this a.m. My hand looks like something from a horror flick but doesn't feel too bad right now, thank God!
I don't want to be part of the problem here! I want to be part of the solution!
Did I blow it or not? I guess I "minimize" cuz pills aren't my cup of tea.... but really don't know if I should give up 15 dayz c & s and/or start on day 1????

IMO..I dont think you did. DOnt take an "extra" one again tho. Hell..I have to take almost 3200mg of ibuprofen a day for my back and 150 mg of tramadol. All prescribed and doses. Thats alot to me. And at times the tram gets me sick and a little dopey. But it is what it is.
I am not addicted to ibuprofen or tram. I am a cocaine addict. So for me that wouldnt be messing up.
I hope you feel better and your hand heals up. Burns hurt so much.

Do you have any aloe vera to put on your hand?
I use ice a lot as well.
I have taken cough medicine as prescribed, cold tablets and pain meds as prescribed.
I don't think, anyone should be forced to be in extra pain. As long as, the mdicine is used with in reason to what it's purpose is for.
P.S. are you my long lost sister? Sounds like stuff I do on a regular basis
I will tell you something, don't use your fingers in a blender while it's moving. ouch

If you're looking for personal opinion here, I'll give mine, take it or leave it. Had I taken more than the prescribed amount, or pain pills for something that it wasn't prescribed for (wasn't sure by the post if the meds were for the burn or not.. so bear with me), I would not consider myself still clean and sober. Had I taken the medication as prescribed, I probably wouldn't consider it anything more than taking an aspirin for a headache. This is really easy for me to say, as pills haven't been an issue for me (I'm sure they would be if I took them!).
That's a really long way of saying, what do YOU think? Since you posted here, I know you're on the fence about it.

I'm gettin off that fence cuz it's too wobbly for me.... and it's hurting where the sun don't shine!
Nope... I didn't blow it. I was there at the crossroads but no.... I'll chalk it up to an experience to NOT repeat today!

The way I see it is, as long as you took it for the pain, the pain of your hand, then you did nothing wrong and didn't blow anything. You only messed up if you took it to get "F*cked up" from it and it doesn't sound like you did. So I think you're in the good.

I am so sorry you burnt your hand. Seriously, there is really no worse pain than a burn. Cuts, bruises, hell even something broken feels better than a burn.

Just talked to my sponsor..... I'm NOT goin' back to Day 1 according to her too. I can't believe the night I had last night!!!! Insane behavior on my end!

I dont count days at all. I just keeo a round about time frame in mind. It is way too stressful for me. Feel like too much pressure for just numbers.
