Day 2
Hi Folks
Got to keep posting to keep the momentum, no meeting today so will stick round here for a bit.
Nightmare sleeping last night finally got there at 6.45, sweated like mad which I think is a good sign but didn't really get enough sleep but hey no hangover.
On my 1st cup of tea, a few cigarettes and a fleeting thought, I could go out for 1 couldn't I.... Pushed that away very quickly.
Another cup of tea I think, I won't drink just for today.
Thanks All, you being there is really helping motivate me.

Good for you XYM
Honestly, I know the feeling about I could just have a little...but for me, that is not how it works...no shut off valve here (I think the handle breaks off after 6 beers...lol)
Thanks for coming back in here.
I've been in here since 11 P.M. last night, it's now 7:15 in the morning.
This is what happens when I don't drink...I need less sleep.
I'm a night owl and a morning bird.
Hang in there...A day at a time, don't think about tomorrow.
Keep coming in here and talking about it...it really does help.
hugs
XOXO

Day two for me, too, yxm. Reading and posting... In my experience, committing to both -- especially in moments of weakness -- keep me sober longer.
Glad you pushed that fleeting thought away! Focus on the fact you don't have a hangover today and how good it will feel to add another clearheaded morning to this one...
Be good to yourself. :ghug3

I'm on my last cup of coffee that I made earlier....Hmmm, maybe that's what my problem is...Ya Think?
Well, at least I can say I didn't stay up partying all night...I just hung out with all you fine people.
XOXO

It gets better each day! I go just one day at a time too, I have a little over a week in and I'm feeling so much better. Last weekend it was an hour at a time. You can do this, you have lots of support here.
Good for all you guys! The first few days are not much fun and it took forever to get some good sleep........if you start feeling jittery, can I suggest backing off the caffine?? I had to, I needed to calm, not crank.
Hang here and post away, stay strong, you CAN do this!!!!!!!!!

Good to be here, good to listen to the vast ammounts of experience. Take it easy eh, I have cleaned my whole appartment washed my bedding, boy that needed it, hoped clean sheets might aid restful sleep tonight. Later I will be making Chilli my favourite meal, all of this 2 days ago would have been mission impossible.
It's quite euphoric at first when your last binge is still clear in your memory, I expect this to get harder in some ways and easier in others, but for today again I am sober and I can see the real world going on around me, its a nice feeling.
