It's a weird feeling
It's my birthday today...
Actually not for much longer... it's 8pm... but i was thinking.
This is the first sober birthday i've had in over 20yrs...
I actually cant remember one ending to a birthday in over 20yrs.
That's sh*te, shocking, embarassing.... my family and friends have always tried to give me a good birthday and i don't even have the decency to remember it or stay coherent throughout it.
Well, that changed today... and you know... I've enjoyed my day even more.

I went for a nice rare juicy steak.... and TASTED it!!!!!
I drank lemonade.... and enjoyed it!!!!!
I was with my mum and sister.... and I REMEMBER EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT!!!!!

and very well done. i couldn't have said it better. the ability to eat and taste food is such a great benefit to not drinking.

Isn't that wonderful? I had the same feeling. I went to dinner with my mom and came away feeling satiated, satisfied, filled with love, and so lucky to be alive.
