When I started I spend lots of time poking around at current threads and old threads. You can search the threads - maybe use "self injury" or something like that to see if you can pick up old threads on this topic. Read and post - just like you are doing.

Do you have a therapist? It doesnt neccessarily have to be a DBT therapist, Cognitive Behavriol Therapy (CBT) is good to. Anyone with experience in SI.
