Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely Grateful.


I love watching the music channels
on tv such as VH1 etc. listening
to the newest artist coming out
and the latest songs sung. And
every now and then someone from
the past pops in with their new
song.

Such as Buck Cherry.

I remember the name from yrs
ago and here today he has
resurfaced with a new song.


I learned today that, like
other artists has gone thru
rehab which is great.!

The message I heard was ....

What Once Was Sex, Drugs
and Rock n'Roll is now .....

Reading, Writing and Rock N'Roll.

Why is that they asked BuckCherry.....

"Well, while in rehab I learned to
read and thus today because of
that joy of reading I writes
better lyrics for my songs."

So the lesson of the story is.....

What ever you learn in getting
clean and sober can be put
to good use. Whether it be
song writing, reading, or helping
the newcomer.

I say that's pretty cool.

I really enjoy reading your posts.... i struggle to understand sometimes but i do try.

I am not meaning to offend here.... but i saw a t-shirt yesterday and something you wrote remindedd me of it...
You wrote sex, drugs and rock'n' roll.
The shirt said
sex, drugs and sausage roll's.

I only manage to live by one of the three now```` "remind self to get bigger trousers".

Again though... thankyou for sharing and i hope you take no offence to what i have replied.... it came into my head.

after I got sober,I realized I liked learning things.I mean things I previously knew nothing about.It has been a blast sometimes and the mental exercises does me good.
