Thank you!
And NO WAY could I have done this with out the support of this board & the friends I have made here. I have found a place I can be honest with others & most importantly myself. Each day is anew in my journey to make a "better me"
I'm glad for the night I did the google search to look for info on alcoholism, & led me here. I am on a path I could have never imagined just weeks ago.

Way to go TBM. Feel free to join us in the under 30 day club. It is still a little lonely over there.

This is the good stuff, I get goose bumps hearing this. Congrats TABM 2 weeks must feel pretty good. It really is SR, this place is a blessing.
I can't believe everyone is so supportive and positive usually you find one dummy that ruins something.
I also thank God the day I stumbled across SR, I wish I found it earlier.
My prayers and positive thoughts for each and every member here.

I must admit I have had a couple of those thoughts today, You know the "well if I can go 2 weeks, maybe I can handle a couple tonight". I know terrible, just being honest I still have to come here daily & talk myself into good decisions regularly. I can't wait to get past that part. But I know if I were to mess up, it will only make me have to start all over & Lord knows I do NOT want to re-do those 2 weeks!

Thank you for always being here to support me & everyone one else here!

Congratulations Toabetterme!! BTW, I have been sober since May and I get those thoughts too, BUT the important thing is I now know they will pass and they don't last that long. Don't ever be ashamed to discuss those parts of your life because they do help others when you do.

Someone said at the meting tonight, "it's the first drink that gets you drunk"
there also was someone who went out after 24 years and came back in and said today would have been their 25Th year sober if it wasn't for that one bottle of wine a month ago.
We as alcoholics are just that, we don't have a couple of drinks we have a couple of bottles. we can never touch it again.
I have done a week before and went to dinner had a glass of wine and here I am a year later on day 5. Just worry about today today and tomorrow tomorrow.
