OT - Working from home possibilities

I know there are a number of women in here who feel trapped in their marriage because they do not work outside the home or are in low paying jobs. I came across this article and thought it might provide some help or leads to some of you.

Barb, thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I hope many women who feel they are stuck financially will read this, particularly in these difficult times.

I am going to look into these options. I will be getting my bachelor's degree in May. After that, I plan to take two audited classes at the local two-year college in spreadsheets and databases.

BUT .... it pays to be prepared. I appreciate your posting a valuable resource for me!

Thanks SO much B52! These are awesome resources.

There are lots of communities for work-at-home moms too. This is one that pops up a lot in my inbox: Work From Home - Online Magazine for Work At Home Moms - WAHM.com

And this is a community I visit all the time, in order to learn how to cut my living expenses in creative and relatively painless ways, so I have more financial freedom: Simple Living Discussion Forums

We can all survive this together :ghug

Bringing back some information about "work from home" opportunities seemed important right now. So many women feel stuck without a way to make money because they have small children at home or have recently lost their job.

Hope this information helps!

Thanks for bumping this, hydrogirl. Not only is the information useful, it is nice to see some member names from the past that I miss. Hope they are all doing well.

The link from Barb52 doesn't work because Monster.com bought out ***** jobs about a year after she posted the link. Here is a more recent link that may be useful (just click through the initial advertisement, Forbes is a reputable site: The Best-Paying Work-At-Home Jobs - Forbes

Sorry about that hydrogirl. It was a great article but some news magazines have a bad habit of making you click through an ad.....sort of like watching the mandatory ad before getting the news video on CNN. I'll be more careful in the future; it won't happen again
