Im heading down to see my mum a week on saturday.
The nerves are already setting in.

I wont see my alcohol counselor next week either. so its time to take charge and stand on my own two feet.
Makes a change than sprawled out on a pavement somewhere :wtf2

I took her advice and checked the internet. Their are two meetings close by on the thursday and friday. I may need to use them. So i wrote down the addresses.

I dont think i can do anymore. Other than pray very very hard to whoever and believing myself more.

Have a great trip and yes do hit the meetings. Vacations can be stressful so be good to yourself and do whatever you need to do not to pick up. You will be fine

Im sure your be fine louis...

I understand your nerves......but when you think of it... a drink cant chase you down the street and pour itself down your throat.

But i know that it can feel like that.......

I would go on a trip with as many "safetly nets" as possible..

I.e ....AA where to find......sober friends numbers....and id always make sure that i could leave if i felt too vunerable....

Sounds like youve done your "prep"......and dont forget...have a good time.

My mum doesn't have the net. So i wont be able to get here either. I'm away for 2wks.

I've told my mum not to get beer in for me but i'll be around alcohol. My mum drinks every night. My sister and her husband are both alcoholics and drink still.
Im getting a lift down and the person is staying 2wks. My mum kniows this and expects me to stay. I've let her down so many times before where ive said id come visit and have been too busy with work.
