Over eating while wasted

My AH is totally wasted. Been drinking since lunch time (its now 6:30pm). He ate a big late lunch and just made himself a huge steak. He is sitting and eating and eating. He is just stuffing it in. Is this normal? Will he eat himself to death? Ive never seen anything like it???

I doubt it linn - I've seen them do this also. The behavior is creepy.

God, I'm so grateful I'm not having to sit and watch that ever again, big hugs to you.

Ugh....sorry you are having to live through that....but I bet he'll be paying for it with quite a belly ache the next day...

Hugs!

Is this normal?

You are asking if it is 'normal' for a person who is completely 'wasted' to exhibit strange behaviors?

(Sometimes I really question the sanity of those people who observe their alcoholic spouses.)

No offense, best wishes.

In my experience Linn the only plus that follows this huge appetite session is that he will soon fall to sleep. Seriously tho' maybe it's due to his alcohol level, his body is eating so that it will absorb it...Scary I know

linn4234 -- I don't know how advanced your H's alcoholism, but more advanced stages of alcoholism cause the A to literally die of starvation and malnutrition. They are hungry all the time, but may choose to drink instead, stomach may be distended from fluid due to liver and other physical affects.
