30 Days Sober! Weeee!

Hey Everyone!
I've been going strong and sober now for 30 days.

I'm pretty pleased with myself. Especially considering my birthday was spent bar hoping with my sister, and that I've attended several parties with TONS of booze, I've been and have continued to say NO to whatever the yummy alcoholic beverage may be. I really am missing the spiked eggnog... well, the taste anyway.

I even cooked with port the other night. There were a few moments that I wanted to sip a little glass as I was cooking. I didn't cave in. REALLY! Amazing...

So... ahead I charge. I've set a goal of 6 months sobriety, all the while keeping in mind that every day is a victory.

Oh... and I've lost 6lbs

Tazman,
I set a goal of 6 months because I need to have a long term goal. I'm thinking @ 6 months I'll reconsider allowing myself ONE drink with meals etc. I may be kidding myself, but I get the feeling I'm not.

If I'm never drunk again, I'll be a happy woman. I simply miss the traditions that go along with drinking, or is it the other way around?
